About Guild Wars

Guild Wars® is a best-selling massively-multiplayer online fantasy roleplaying game developed by ArenaNet and published by NCSoft Corporation. Initially released in early 2005, it has been followed by two stand-alone chapters (Guild Wars: Factions and Guild Wars: Nightfall) and one expansion pack (Guild Wars: Eye of the North).
Adventure through the glorious world of Guild Wars, the way you want to: play solo or lead a party of henchmen and heroes; join up with your friends, explore the world and triumph over evil; and join a guild to participate in illustrious tournaments for prizes.
Guild Wars distinguishes itself from the mass of MMOs by being completely subscription-free; you’ll NEVER have to worry about subscriptions; once you buy the box, you can play as much (or as little) as you want. The award-winning storyline spans all four chapters and three continents, and brings players up against magical creatures, forgotten races, vengeful spirits, and even a hidden god.
Meet up, trade and chat with other players in bustling cities, then form a party and move out into private instances created just for you – no chance of kill-stealing or loot-ninjas here!

About my blog

Conjure Phantasm is a blog by Nox from Australia. Posts cover topics including professions, races, skills, combat mechanics, equipment, media, community and fans.

Discuss speculation, marvel at the attention to detail, watch videos, vote in polls, and enjoy a variety of visual content from beautiful screenshots to shameless fan-art.

This blog isn’t about news; it goes beyond news, piecing together puzzles to offer insight into the bigger picture. As a personal blog, it is written casually and makes for light reading. It is a tiny thread of colour in the GW2 community tapestry.

The ultimate mission of the blog is to discover any trace of mesmer-ish behaviour in Guild Wars 2. Join in!

Note: This blog, originally named “iLoveGuildWars.com”, began on November 7th 2009, with a mammoth-sized “What We Know” about Guild Wars 2. In June 2010 I moved to a WordPress-hosted blog and renamed it to “Conjure Phantasm”.
