Lonesome

I have seen the rise and fall of Guild Wars. Take a look at my Friends List and Guild roster:

Those people (especially the Friends) used to play a lot. I keep them on my list in case they ever come back.

Is it any wonder the wait times for GvG were 30 mins to 2 hours? More than half of those Friends were into HA and GvG. It’s a vicious circle. People leave because other people have left. Before long, you’re stuck here, like me, alone, clapping at fireworks in Lion’s Arch and being a rock in The Dragon’s Lair (which is empty):

So, how can it be different in Guild Wars 2?

  • Actively promote communication between guilds and players in our timezone
  • Welcome new players, help them integrate with the guild, train them
  • Spice up an old game by playing it differently

Is it the same in US and Euro timezones? How do you feel?

Is this game dead?

I agree.. EU servers are mostly empty, everyone plays at American servers, where its mostly crowded, but only in the major outposts, or where traveler is and so on… But people give up on the game to soon… they just want fast cash and stuff… there’s rely not a lot of people left who like to play GW with their hearts.. too bad… I hope the fresh GW2 will change that.. I cant wait… The new vid is stunning!

I understand that it’s been almost 5 years… but that doesn’t make it any less disheartening to see all those greyed-out names.
I think the lack of new content, and poor (or lack of) PvP balances, have had a major impact.
