Goodbye Guild

18 Nov

I’ve been hovering around Overclockers Australia [OCAU], and the various other guilds that survived the Trans Tasman Alliance [TTA] break up, for over 2 years now, and with the great group of guys known as “The Nightly Team [TNT]” we got OCAU up to rank 250 and TNT not far behind. But they’ve moved on to other games, and here I am left on my lonesome, casually finishing content I paid for but never played (Factions, Nightfall, EotN). I got “fed up” with the dead silence of grinders/farmers over at the OCAU alliance, so I took a look around for a new guild.

*drum roll*

I Come From The Land Down [UnDA] is full of fresh new faces and names, none of whom have ever heard of TTA or OCAU.

An old friend from TNT, Greg, has joined me too.

Yay!

To help them out a bit I spent 2/3rds of my money (gained through XTH on 3 accounts) to fill out their guild hall. So many green dots! ArenaNet went crazy with NPCS!!! AHHHHH!

New guild *does a jig*

I used to aspire to one day have my own guild. Of course, it’s totally possible and easy. I’ll just wait until Guild Wars 2.

Does the guild have a website/forums? My guild is mostly dead and I’m looking for another Aus guild to join.

Hi Croc, welcome to my site.

Yeah, I would want to lead a guild that’s low-maintenance. With the right officers, enthusiasm for the game, and open communication, I think a guild can almost run itself.

When I think of the great times I had in Guild Wars, with fun people, for such a great length of time, it makes me want to give that to others. I feel sorry for those that go through the game in solo, or don’t communicate with their guild members. It is an MMO with huge potential to meet hundreds of people and make some real friends. If I can help 50-100 other players find that sort of fun, that would be quite fulfilling (in a nerdy sense, as far as anything in virtual reality can be fulfilling).

If you’re Croc from TTA in the heyday, a big *wave* hello again :)
